'My Big Moments' picture book series featured in the Sunday Star Times
The genesis of the My Big Moments picture book series, due for launch in July 2019, has been a feature of a Sunday Star Times article. The piece focusses on how our personal experience in the 2016 Kaikoura Earthquake contributed to realising the importance of the concept, and how being a recipient of the 2018 AMP Dare to Dream National Scholarship has helped us on our publishing journey.
It feels like a real honour to be recognised for this project that we feel is such an important one to build resilience and resourcefulness within families through a range of picture books personalised online for children.
I am the author and co-founder of My Big Moments, it’s truly a passion project. I feel humbled to be going to work on a book series that is so meaningful, effective and reliable. Our point of difference is using science, technology and positive relationships to their fullest advantage for an immersive and impactful learning experience.
My Big Moments plans to launch with three titles in July and will build on the series over time, covering a wide range of issues families might face.
My Big Moments - find out more…
At My Big Moments, we work with a team of experts in child behaviour, psychology and neuroscience to write personalised picture books for children aged 2 - 7. Each story demonstrates practical ideas to help little ones cope with early challenges, changes and milestones they may face.
As adult and child sit and read together, our books start the conversation about how to navigate some of life’s little bumps in the road. By hearing the right words in the right moment, they discover that a tricky situation can become a positive, empowering one.
The books are personalised for each child online, involving and engaging them in the story. This is all done through an easy to use website where customers order the books to either be printed and delivered to their door, or, instantly downloaded and read on their device.
My Big Moments plans to launch in July 2019.
