Hannah Davison is a Scottish-born, New Zealand grown author of picture books, short stories for young and old, middle grade children's fiction, a freelance writer, journalist and blogger.

In her former life, Hannah was a keen adventurer and marketing executive. A reformed nomad following the onset of domesticity, she explores the world through words.

Hannah is the co-founder and author of My Big Moments, a personalised picture book series exploring some of life's challenges, changes and milestones. Her work is featured in three short story anthologies; Wish Upon a Southern Star, Horizons 4 and Fresh Ink 2019. She has written a book published in the Ready to Read series for The Ministry of Education titled, The New Lambs

In 2018 Hannah was selected as a recipient of the AMP Dare to Dream National Scholarship for her work on the My Big Moments initiative. Since its launch, My Big Moments has been featured by Sunday Star Times/Stuff Media, OHbaby! Magazine, The Wayward, The Grace Tales, Lady Start-Ups (Mamamia), Kidspot, The Sapling and Kids’ Book Review. The founders have been interviewed on The Daily Edition show in Australia and Seven Sharp in New Zealand.

As a freelance journalist, Hannah is a regular contributor to OHbaby! Magazine. She has written for a wide range of publications including; Latitude Magazine, Metropol, Women’s Health, The Natural Parent, Kids’ Book Review, Wilderlife.nz, Gearjunkie.com, The Press and The Western Australian.

Hannah completed the Writing Stories for Children Diploma with the New Zealand Institute of Business studies, passing with ‘excellence’, and has completed several professional writing courses with the Australian Writers’ Centre. She is a member of the NZSA, SCBWI, Storylines and the Children's Literature Hub in Christchurch.

Until she can 'work remotely' again, Hannah can be found working from her home in North Canterbury, New Zealand, with her two children and a range of animals.
